| Shop owner, Betty Riddle, launched Catalina Quilting in the shadow of the Catalina Mountains
shortly after taking an early retirement from law office management in Los Angeles. Now more than 3 years
later, Catalina Quilting has relocated to Oro Valley, Arizona. The new shop is centrally located and provides
better access for our customers.
We offer for sale fabric, notions, threads, books and patterns for projects just getting underway or on projects
waiting to be completed. Our outstanding staff includes quilters with experience in machine and hand quilting,
fabric selection, and finishing techniques. We are especially proud of our teaching staff: experts in all aspects
of quilting, from paper piecing to the latest in art quilting techniques. Our classes are created for quilters
from beginner, including children, to the most advance quilter. The samples on the walls illustrate each class,
so come take a look and sign up.
Our classroom provides ample space for classes of 6 to 10 students. Our new ‘neighbors’ have light luncheon fare
for those classes that span the lunch hour. There is ample parking adjacent to the shop.
Each quarter we publish our newsletter that contains information on classes and special events. Check it out to
learn more about class descriptions, general and special quilting supplies and patterns required, as well as the
